Shreyas Iyer will lead the side as captain, with explosive batter Tilak Varma appointed as his vice-captain. The selection committee has blended seasoned campaigners with emerging talent, retaining 15-year-old opening sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi following his impressive run in recent fixtures.
The squad features several high-profile returns. Pace
spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is back in the T20I setup alongside
wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who teams up with Ishan Kishan behind the
stumps. The bowling unit is further bolstered by the comebacks of Arshdeep
Singh and wrist-spinner Varun Chakaravarthy. All-round depth is a major feature
of the roster, boasting options like Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington
Sundar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy. However, the participation of Bumrah, Reddy,
Sundar, and Harshit Rana remains subject to final fitness clearances.
