Tanzid Hasan Tamim produced a majestic innings to become the first Bangladeshi
player ever to score a Test century on Australian soil. Playing in only his
second Test match, the talented left-hander achieved this historic feat through
sheer patience, grit, and high-class strokeplay against Australia's elite
attack.

Tanzid's resolute knock of 101 came off 197 deliveries, featuring eight crisp boundaries and a towering straight six. Resuming his overnight innings with quiet determination after Bangladesh’s bowlers restricted Australia early, Tanzid exhibited remarkable composure facing a formidable pace-and-spin battery.
Displaying exceptional tactical discipline, Tanzid
consistently left deliveries outside off stump, defended stoutly on a bouncy
pitch, and punished anything short or wide. He brought up his maiden Test
hundred off 188 balls, punching the air in joy before raising his bat to

Tanzid's milestone is only the second Test century by a Bangladeshi batter against Australia, joining Shahriar Nafees’ famous 138 in 2006.
